South Lakeland Mind
The primary aim of South Lakeland Mind is to improve the lives of local people, especially those who are particularly
disadvantaged, marginalised, socially excluded or vulnerable through mental ill health, and to work towards the
promotion of better mental health and a greater sense of wellbeing for all in South Lakeland.
We aim to improve public understanding of mental health issues, challenge discrimination and seek more
comprehensive, consistent and accessible services for them and their families, and/or carers across the area.
South Lakeland Mind was awarded the Mind Quality Mark in 2015 and is committed to providing a quality of
service that aims to meet the needs and expectations of service users, funders and other stakeholders.
South Lakeland Mind has adopted Mind’s values and principles and is committed to equal opportunities.
RED January 2019
Support your mental health this January by getting active every day, your way!
We’re excited to be partnering with RED January, a community initiative providing people with support and a focus during a characteristically tough month.#
Whether it’s a morning swim, running a 5k or just taking your bike for a spin, you can join the thousands of people around the UK, kick-starting their 2019 in the most positive way.
Every Mind works tirelessly to support those who need help and we would be grateful for your fundraising support. We have teamed up with RED and National Mind and are one of 25 Local Minds taking on RED. So you can support RED either in your area or nationally.
By choosing to support a Local Mind you are ensuring any money raised directly impacts your local community. You can register for any Local Mind within Lancashire or Cumbria. If you have already registered with National Mind but would like to switch and support us locally please contact us to arrange this.
You can register for free here.
We look forward to going on this journey with you!
